Healing Carousel Radiogram

A$1,800.00

Another absolute standout Australian-made Vintage Radiogram!

We at Retraphonics are once again privileged to bring a true 1960s masterpiece back to life—restored with care, respect, and just the right touch of modern practicality.

Built post-WW2 in Melbourne by the iconic Healing A.G., this Radiogram reflects a golden era of Australian craftsmanship. The cabinet showcases solid timber with real wood veneer and original vintage speaker grills—still present with only minor marks that speak to its age and authenticity. This is a piece of history that looks as good as it sounds.

Fitted with its original BSR stacking turntable, this beauty can play up to 10 records in a row, dropping one at a time for seamless listening. The mechanism has been fully overhauled—cleaned, re-greased, and tuned—so it runs like new. We’ve also installed a brand new ceramic cartridge and stylus, giving your vinyl the warm, rich tone that modern turntables just can’t replicate.

Powering it all is a beautifully made valve amplifier, built when Australia was producing some of the world’s toughest and most musical electronics. It runs the legendary 6GW8 tubes and features a correct original-spec speaker transformer replacement for authentic tone. A new power cord has also been supplied and professionally installed for safe, grounded operation.

While this unit originally came with an AM radio receiver, the radio is unfortunately no longer operational—but that’s a small trade-off considering the unmatched character and sound of this Radiogram’s valve-driven turntable setup.

For added versatility, we offer an adapter cable (optional extra) so you can plug in your phone and play directly through the system. It’s the perfect bridge between the analog soul of the ‘60s and the convenience of today.

We’ll be sharing a full video demo soon on our Instagram @retraphonics—stay tuned to see and hear it in action.
