Sharp Music Centre
Sharp SG-400H Music Centre
Up for grabs is a rare Sharp late 70’s table top stereo music centre.
This model doesn’t exist in Australia. Retailers didn’t import these in the 70’s. What a ripper!
All audio needs are catered to and they meet at the centre point of this system. No need for unnecessary components and a large array of ugly cables. This System has everything you need with just one power cable.
Fully serviced and overhauled by us, now working perfectly as it should. No faults present.
Imported from Japan, (power plug adapter included in sale)
1978 Sharp SG-400H
What a whopping big stereo centre, probably the biggest we’ve had.
Belt drive turntable restored, fresh lubrication. New belt, new cartridge and stylus. Supplied is an Audio Technica AT3600L option to upgrade to higher quality cart and needle simply enquire within.
Fantastic quality Japanese tape deck with VU metres and chrome compatibility. Tape path cleaned and demagnetised. Works like new and tape sound so crisp on this model.
Insane am/fm stereo tuner section, quite sophisticated for the time. Picks up any station and has. A nice tuner command panel with touch pad buttons. VU metre also for tuning strength.
Play your phone through this system and additional cable for iPhone playback. Cable supplied for additional costs.
We ended up sourcing a more aesthetically matched pair of sharp speakers locally which seemed more fitting than the original non matched wooden sharp speakers that came with this model. They sound amazing and are in our opinion a pretty good fit.
All in all this system sounds really really good. Super crisp, perfect vinyl playback. Options to upgrade cartridge is super handy. The tape deck is prime and the radio is just 👌 also included is the speaker cables which are O/S plugs. Can include 5+ metres of this specific cable which are euro plugs.
Lid is undamaged with slight scratches. One corner has cracked on the body of the unit (right hand side) this happened in freight from Japan.
Let me know if you have any questions. Bring a record down and have a spin. Located Gold Coast. Shipping available
