PYE Astro Lowboy
Greetings earthlings
We have just finished the full restoration to this charming little PYE space age radiogram from the year 1970.
Made in Sydney Australia by PYE, you can rely on PYE đ
Arguably the most groovy looking radiograms were manufactured by these guys, not to mention this particular model is super rare!
Stunning real wood veneer cabinetry on a lowboy swivel stand, the cabinet has been restored and had new oil based poly applied to some areas and all defects and blemished have been repaired by us.
The internals have been fully restored to back to new working order, including a full replacement of all electrolytic capacitors on the amplifier and brand new high quality in cabin bulbs.
All switches and potentiometers receiving a deep sonic cleaning treatment. With the replacement electrical components.
The unit is now very very loud and produces a very warm vintage sound that we are all chasing. It also features a state of the art stacking BSR turntable which is made in the UK Completely overhauled and stripped back to new and all new synthetic oil and lithium grease applied to all necessary points of contact.
With the ability to stack 10 records at once and play them simultaneously with the push of a button. Housing 2 original 8â full range magnavox speakers. In perfect working order.
