These AKAI components are all matching and were purchased in department stores in the mid 80’s as a matched separates package.

Featuring the AKAI AM-U2 Stereo Amplifier with 30WPC which is easily about a 40WPC capable of driving 4-16ohm speakers. Serviced, sounding amazing and packs a punch
AKAI AT-S3 FM/AM Stereo Synthesizer Tuner which picks up virtually any radio station you require.
AKAI HX-1 Stereo Cassette Deck which has undergone a painful complete service. Tape bath cleaned Pinch Roller rejuvenated. Belts replaced, Heads demagnetised. Now working Flawlessly. Dolby B noise reduction, Tasty digital VU Metres, Chrome Tape Compatible. Quality Japanese Tape deck.
AKAI AP-D2 Turntable Direct Drive, amazing condition for 1980’s truly stands out against most other used turntables available in 2025. Direct drive, no strings attached or should I say no belts attached. Simple design and super robust. Audio Technica Cartridge and Stylus. Very quiet motor, what a treat for your records - sounds beautiful.
Rounding it off is a nice little set of Vintage Japanese Realistic 2 way speakers which have that lovely retro look backed by an even better sound than you’d expect from these small speakers.
The components have some very minor scratches here and there but in overall fantastic condition.
