Kriesler Studio Cherry - 1973

from A$3,200.00

Step into the 70s with this fully restored 1973 Kriesler Stereo 6 in stunning cherry wood — a lounge room icon brought back to flawless condition.

Restored back to 100% original condition, internally and externally. No new Chinese record players or electronics. Fully serviced by us @retraphonics on the Gold Coast — visit our Instagram to see a video of this unit in action.

The Kriesler Stereo 6 Radiogram was made in Sydney, Australia. An absolute relic, these were manufactured over a decade with minor changes along the way, and they really perfected this design. This is a 1973 model, one of the last radiograms made with valves before Kriesler transitioned to transistors.

What makes Kriesler Radiograms so special is their tank-like construction, especially the valve sets. Genuine materials were used throughout, a level of quality we rarely see today. Reliability is second to none, particularly once fully restored by us.

This unit is in stunning, easily VG++ condition. All photographs are taken in natural light, with no artificial filters — what you see is exactly what you get. The cherry cabinet is pristine.

This model features a late-model BSR stacking turntable, capable of holding up to 6 full-length LPs at a time and playing them automatically, one after the other. That’s right — 100% automatic, with up to 3.5 hours of continuous vinyl playback without intervention. Revolutionary for its time, and incredible that technology like this became obsolete so quickly in the late 70s.

The turntable has been fully restored, operating flawlessly with no skipped steps. All cartridges and needles have been upgraded to high-quality units with diamond-tipped styluses, able to play any vinyl record without skipping or tracking issues — tried and tested.

The onboard valve receiver has been completely serviced: all capacitors replaced with quality components, power supply resistors replaced, and all pots and switches deep-cleaned, lubricated, and restored. AM radio is fully functional. This is a beautiful Australian radiogram, a sound investment and a piece of our country’s manufacturing history.

Listening to records on this Kriesler is an absolute pleasure. The valves complement vinyl perfectly — as collectors will tell you, vintage radiograms truly do sound better.

We offer interstate shipping — please enquire for a quote. Local buyers are welcome to inspect the unit.

We also restore any Radiogram you may have. Share a photo of your unit and we’ll provide a quote for repair or restoration.
