Kriesler Multisonic 11-97
This is one of those radiograms that people who know, really know.
The Kriesler Multisonic 11-97 was one of Kriesler’s flagship models in the mid 1960s, built when Australian hi fi was all about big sound, clever engineering, and furniture you were proud to show off. This model is part of the master multisonic lineup which were designed as a farewell to the vacuum tube, they decided to go out with a bang and create these masterful push pull Kriesler’s with a historic chassis design which has not been matched since.
These were expensive, top tier units when new, and they still carry that presence today.
This example has been fully restored internally and carefully cleaned externally to maintain originallity.
The amplifier has been completely serviced with all capacitors replaced, controls cleaned, and the electronics brought back to proper working order. It sounds exactly how a great valve radiogram should sound. Warm, full, smooth, and effortless.
The AM radio is strong and clear and features the classic tuning eye that glows as you lock onto a station. It’s one of those little vintage touches that never gets old and instantly reminds you you’re listening to something special.
The original Garrard stacking turntable has been fully rebuilt and serviced. You can stack multiple records and let them play one after another without touching a thing. Load it up, press play, and walk away. This is how music was meant to be enjoyed. We have also installed a brand new Japanese high compliance cartridge and stylus.
The cabinet is finished in a rich brown timber tone with clean lines and solid proportions. It works beautifully in mid century homes but also sits just as comfortably in a modern space. This is proper furniture, not a box to hide in a corner.
For modern listening, phone connectivity can be used via a simple adapter, letting you stream music through a genuine valve system while keeping the original look and feel intact.
