Kriesler Futureline -1970
1970 Kriesler Futureline Radiogram
Handmade in Australia between 1966 and 1974, the Kriesler Futureline has become one of the country's most sought-after radiograms. This particular example is a beautiful early 1970 model that has been fully restored by us and is now ready for its next home.
There is something about the Futureline that immediately draws you in. The sliding speaker fabric doors, genuine teak cabinetry and low, understated design give it a presence that never goes unnoticed. It doesn't need to be playing to make an impression, but once you switch it on you'll understand why these have such a loyal following.
The photographs have been taken entirely in natural light immediately after restoration, with no filters or editing. What you see is exactly how this unit presents in person.
Inside is Kriesler's renowned six valve Multi Sonic amplifier, delivering the rich, smooth valve sound these radiograms became famous for. Paired with the original full-range speakers, it produces a warm, effortless sound that's equally at home playing your favourite records or streaming music through the optional smartphone connection.
The amplifier has been completely rebuilt with all electrolytic and paper capacitors replaced, valves tested and replaced where required, controls and switches professionally cleaned, and the tuner fully serviced and aligned. The result is a reliable amplifier that performs as beautifully as it did when it left the factory.
The original fully automatic Garrard stacking turntable has also been completely restored. Every moving component has been dismantled, cleaned, lubricated and carefully reassembled before being fitted with a brand new cartridge and stylus. Simply load the spindle with your records, press start and let the turntable automatically play through your collection.
We don't believe in simply getting these radiograms working again. Every restoration is completed with reliability, originality and longevity in mind, ensuring each piece can be enjoyed for many years to come while preserving the character that made these Australian-made radiograms so special.
iPhone and Samsung compatibility is available, allowing you to enjoy modern music through the original valve amplifier and speakers without compromising the originality of the unit.
We are based on the Gold Coast, with Australia-wide shipping available. Inspections are welcome by appointment, and you're more than welcome to bring along your favourite record during your viewing.
Measurements: 1219mm (L) × 438mm (D) × 699mm (H)
Beautifully restored Futureline’s rarely become available, and they are often secured before they even reach the website. If you've been looking for one of Australia's finest radiograms, this is one well worth considering.
