Yamaha Sound System
Here we go with a knockout 1979’s Yamaha stereo system.
Born in the late 70’s in Japan.
Any seasoned audio Vet will know that Yamaha takes the cake for the cleanest offerings both visually and functionally.
Yammy’s are known for their crisp vintage sound, perfectly balanced highs and lows and not too much over roll on the bass.
Take a look at that all wooden plinth, absolutely timeless design. Still extremely relevant eye candy audio.
The turntable is a belt driven Yamaha YPB4, because everyone knows belt driven is less noise. A true work horse of a Turntable. S- tubular tone arm and dual speed offerings. Nice construction on the motor, still big enough to be quality. Brand new Audio Technica AT3600L cartridge and stylus. Options to upgrade to higher quality cartridge if preferred, simply request other options.
Driving the system is a beautiful woodgrain Yamaha R-300 Natural sound stereo receiver. Offering 30WPC which is easily more than it suggests. It holds its own and can entertain virtually any loudspeakers. A genuinely enjoyable sound from this amplifier, music doesn’t get tiring. Can comfortably listen to it all day with ease. Simple, effective and exactly how vinyl listening should be. Also onboard is a really nice AM/FM tuner which collects ever station you’ll require. Aesthetically this receiver is on the money all day long. Can run two sets of speakers with this puppy if you like, also has options for AUX/ iPhone playback. We can supply the adapter cable if you prefer.
Putting it to rest is the very tidy pair of Radio shack speakers from the 1970’s that we have hand picked as the best match for this kit. Radio shack/ Tandy electronics were simply great. Love all of their offerings from the 70’s and 80’s. These speakers have it all, real wood veneer cabinets, 1970’s lattice speaker grills and kickass sound from the Japanese drivers inside. Not sure about them? Just pick them up, they weigh a tonne. With anything made from real materials; it weighs alot. Vintage audio playback from here to way over there.
Plug and play system, no strings attached. Late 70’s still working flawlessly. A good safe investment into your vintage audio journey.
