1970's Vintage Sound System
We are a small business specialising in vintage audio, stereo systems and Radiograms
Here we have a really nice vintage 1970’s system that we have put together, we hand picked each item to ensure they are aesthetically matching and complimentory to each other in appearance and functionality
The breakdown is as follows;
Gorgeous Rotel RP-1000 semi automatic belt driven turntable from the 1970’s. It has two speed options and a synchronous motor with a S-shaped tone arm and a die cast aluminium platter. It is a well regarded Japanese turntable known for its sturdy construction, featuring a timber plinth, and produces a warm, classic sound. It has been restored by us and is working flawlessly. The condition is almost immaculate, the lid is near perfect considering its age. We have fitted a brand new drive belt, re oiled all mechanisms and installed a brand new Audio Technica cartridge and stylus.
Next up is the Kenwood KA-1400G Stereo amplifier, we decided to use this amp in the system because of its compact size and light woodgrain case which matches the record player perfectly. Not to mention it has a really nice vintage sound to it. Built in Japan in the early 1970’s the Kenwood KA-1400 is a vintage solid state integrated amplifier known for its modest power output and pairing well with turntables, offering clean sound and basic features for its era. We have done the rounds on this one and brought it back to life now performing wonderfully. Minor scratches to the face plate and knobs but overall a fine candidate.
Finishing the set off we sourced a charming pair of Vintage Goodmans Mezzo SL speakers from the 1970’s, we chose this pair because their real wood veneer was lighter then most vintage speakers and the colour was a very close match to the amp and turntable. They are a classic British 2-way loudspeakers produced in the UK. Renowned for high efficiency, rich, deep sound, and robust construction, these vintage speakers feature a 10-inch woofer and a front port. They are highly regarded by collectors for their, vintage aesthetic and warm audio performance. We have serviced them and replaced the tweeters for continuous reliability.
Local viewings welcome, interstate shipping can be organised by us.
